OMNI Systems, one of the largest privately owned label manufacturers focused exclusively on pressure sensitive label printing in the United States and a converter of thermal media, was named a Bronze Stevie Award winner in the Sustainable Business Models category in the 23rd Annual American Business Awards.

Launched in January 2024, OMNI’s award-winning project (“OMNI Systems’ Responsible, Sustainable Model Shapes Operational Success”) underscores its proactive environmental responsibility and commitment to circularity, and meets the demand for sustainable solutions in the label manufacturing industry.

OMNI implemented a central vacuum and baler automation to divert 80 tons of scrap each month for conversion into energy pellets, which significantly reduces landfill accumulation and far exceeds the company’s corporate social responsibility goals. The effort also improved production efficiency, increased run speeds, and enhanced scrap management.

“This initiative sets a new benchmark for sustainable label manufacturing and circular economy leadership,” says one Stevie Awards judge.

More than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Thought Leader of the Year, and App of the Year, among others.

“Being recognized for our work advancing environmental stewardship in the industry is a tremendous honor,” says OMNI CEO Adam DeFrancesco. “This achievement reflects our team’s commitment to high-impact solutions across the organization—efforts that continue to fuel our growth and reinforce the trust we’ve built with our customers.”

This marks OMNI’s second sustainability honor this year, following a finalist distinction in the Manufacturing Leadership Awards last month.

In addition to a wide-ranging offering of responsibly sourced materials within a sophisticated environmental policy, OMNI offers cutting-edge innovations, including RFID capabilities, UV flexo presses up to 26″, digital presses up to 22’’ wide, and fully integrated in-house plate making departments. The company currently operates over 65 presses in its multiple manufacturing and distribution facilities.

“Organizations across the United States continue to demonstrate resilience and innovation,” says Stevie Awards president Maggie Miller. “The 2025 Stevie winners have helped drive that success through their innovation, persistence, and hard work. We congratulate all of the winners in the 2025 ABAs and look forward to celebrating their achievements during our June 10 gala event in New York.”
